Benim için biraz yavaş bir başlangıç oldu ama sonunda gerçekten heyecan uyandırdı. Son bölüm için sabırsızlanıyorum.
I'll admit I bought this book largely because of the gorgeous cover. Nonetheless, it was a meaningful and intelligent book. The story concerns a man who's fiance dies while he's saving a drowning stranger. A widower, for all intents and purposes, he's left to care for his ten-year-old daughter. He does so by sitting outside her school for three months instead of going to the office. He fills his days with various musing, which can, at times, bore, but which also provide some pretty interesting insights into the grieving process (even if it is a bizarre and almost clinical form of grief). I'm always happy to read contemporary works in translation, especially when they offer a cadence that I'm not used to. I have a feeling this is one of those books that I'll come to appreciate later on and may even bump up the star rating. If you liked this, make sure to follow me on Goodreads for more reviews!
