I once read that this book was a philosophy text disguised as a novel. I would have to agree. I found the book engaging and interesting - I wasn't in love with it as I was with Disgrace or The Life and Times of Michael K, but I'm glad I read it. Anything Coetzee writes, I'm all about reading. And this particular character Elizabeth Costello, who appears in Coetzee's Slow Man, is fascinating, a whirlwind combo of conscience, consciousness, neuroticism, stoicism, diety-like abilities for insight, and tiresome nuissance.

I gained Spiritual battle perspective. the Point-of-view is a great idea for a book

THe beginning is promissing! But of course, so was the name of the author, even before I bought the book.
