Nedenini bilmiyorum, ama bu benim en sevdiğim kitaplardan biri. Güzel hikaye.

للمرة الأولى أقرأ لعلي بدر .. فأجدهُ فاتناً بإسلوبه وَ بطريقة سرده الروائية ! صوُر الشارع العراقي البسيط بكل تفاصيله .. جعلني أعيش كل تفاصيل روايته لحظة بلحظة , وَ كأنني أشاهد فيلم كلاسيكي مُثير , الرواية لها أبعاد كثيرة وَ مليئة بالشخصيات ذات الحضور الصاخب .. المرتبطه ببعضها البعض في مكان ما من الرواية , صدقاً أحببت العمل بكل أشكاله .. و أحسست أني أعيش مع ذاك الروائي المغموُر بذلك الإستديو الفقير .. بشارع الكرادة وَ أتنفس هواء العراق .. و سموم لهيب شمسها كل لحظة وَ أنا أقرأ سطراً جديداً !

When I first read this book in school in the early 90's, I found it to be unbelievably frightening. Now, 15 years later, I'm frightened. It'd be a put-down to call it a political thriller (because of its importance) but it is a passionate, enjoyable read.

I read this book in under 48 hours which for me is very fast! Fiesty female, arrogant yet otherwise-perfect alpha male, Greek sunshine. What more could you ask for? Except, perhaps, a blood pressure monitor. This is definitely among the hottest 'Romantic Fiction' I have ever read. I'm finding it hard to get Andreas Lazerides out of my head.
