I loved this book. I could care less if it's true or not. It was a great read and I love his writing style. The characters were wonderful and it was an amazing "story". Get over the false/true thing and read it as fiction and see if you enjoy it or not.

** spoiler alert ** Sinceramente no creí que con un argumento tan simple, tan clásico y gastado, como es el mito del vampiro, se pudiera hacer una obran tan excepcional pues no sólo el tema está casi agotado sino que además presentar el vampirismo como una consecuencia epidémica y de origen bacteriano no parece ser una idea creíble, consistente y fácil de desarrollar. Pero el genio de Matheson logra darle un soporte científico a esta idea y es bastante riguroso en sus descripciones y explicaciones y no sólo justifica su epidemia sino que sustenta de paso la existencia de los vampiros desde siempre y el por qué de sus conocidas reacciones hacia la luz del sol, el ajo, los espejos, las cruces y demás. "I'm a Legend" es probablemente el cuento de terror más influyente del género.

It is very possible that Sense and Sensibility and Pride and Prejudice are the same book.

A guy goes in search of a lost cat, and winds up in some very bizarre situtations. Strange sub-plots are set up, then go nowhere; you find yourself anticipating payoffs that never materialize. This is not necessarily a bad thing. In the end (I’m not giving anything away here), the main character unloads some heavy spiritual ennui, and that seems to be the main point of the book.
