Well, I loved this book, probably more of a 4.5. And yes, I am a dog lover. But the author did a fabulous job of imagining what goes on in a dog's mind. The story is narrated by Enzo, the dog who is owned by Denny, and loved by Denny, who is a part-time racing car driver, very skilled at racing in the rain. I care nothing for car racing, but somehow it all helped the story flow along with it's ups and downs.

The controversy, the history, and the detail all intricately woven together reminded me of why reading is so great. The Da Vinci Code was an amazing story with a well-developed plot. The twists and turns were many and usually went in a direction that one would least expect. Starting to read a little by little quickly became not being able to put the book down until the finish. I know I’m late on the Da Vinci Code bandwagon and I’m a little bit sad that I am. In the beginning it seemed like Dan Brown was touching on a heavy subject and taking on a lot in this novel but all of the loose ends were tied up quite nicely– very well handled Mr. Brown :D One of my friends stated, “He is an entertainer, not a writer.” I agree with this statement halfway. He is most definitely both. All writers are entertainers.. They entertain themselves and their readers! A book’s entertainment comes from how it’s presented and how it’s written and I think Da Vinci code is very entertaining as well as very well written. We are taken on a cat and mouse chase all around Europe… ( I guess the next step is for me to actually get myself on a plane to Europe!). <—- I will one day! Da Vinci code was very exciting for me to read; a quick paced adventure and not at all daunting to get through. the words LOVED. and IT. and any synonym for great, fantastic, amazing that you can think of come to mind at the close of this novel. I never knew much about religion or the Holy Grail but everything is laid out so convincingly I was ready to take Dan Brown’s word for it. I can understand this novel being controversial, but I also think that is one of the more interesting parts of the book. I won’t spoil anything here because I know as late as I was to pick this book up, there are still many out there that probably haven’t. I definitely look forward to the next Dan Brown read. :] As for the movie… I may or may not watch it. as for the book… read it!.
